This helicopter flight down the entire course of The River Derwent was used in the production of our video “Derwent Valley The National Heritage Corridor” which was filmed to commemorate the granting of “World Heritage Status” to the Derwent Valley Region.
Such was the splendour of the journey of this remarkable River from it’s source in the Peak District to it’s confluence with the River Trent, south of Derby; that Richard Felix was inspired to put some of his local knowledge to commentary: to take viewers of this film on this spellbinding journey down the full 66 miles of the Derwent, pointing out historical places of interest and beautiful countryside.
